Andratx Golf ClubChampionship 18 hole course in the glorious south west
Andratx Golf Club was designed by Gleneagles Scotland and opened in 2000. The 18 hole championship course is well known as one of the most difficult and challenging in Mallorca. Lengthy holes take you through the hills of south west Majorca, from which you can admire fabulous views of thelandscape and the sea.
The course features 60 bunkers (with finest quality white sand...), seven lakes that are utilised over six holes, and fairly narrow fairways. Hole 6 is notorious, being 609 meters from the championship tee and the longest hole in Spain. It's one that all golfers look forward to playing. The tee shot from hole 8, shortly afterwards, offers a spectacular view of the bay in Camp de Mar and the hills around it. Buggies are included in the green fee. The course is well run and well maintained, and the clubhouse includes a highly rated Italian restaurant.

Canyamel Golf ClubA quiet 18 hole course in the north east of Mallorca
Canyamel Golf course is situated in the noth east of Mallorca and is reknowned for being one of the most beautiful courses on the island. Jose Cancedo designed this 18 hole golf course (par 73) with the philosophy of doing the least damage to Mallorca by adapting the course to the natural topography of the land. The course caters for all levels of player and the quality of the greens makes playing here a real delight.
The first nine holes are over undulating ground and offer wonderful views of the sea. The final nine holes offer more of a challenge despite being more flat, as it includes some water.

Capdepera / Roca Viva Golf ClubPretty 18 hole course in the north east of Mallorca
Capdepera Golf Club is renowned as one of the most beautiful courses on Mallorca. Situated in the far north east of the island, the course sits in the foothills of the Llevant natural Park, overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Designed by US architect Dan Maples, the course opened in 1989. The 18 hole course offers various challenges to suit both experienced and novice golfers.
The first nine holes have long fairways along relatively flat ground, with the second nine offering more hilly challenges. There are six lakes which come into play for three holes, and the greens are generally spacious.
The clubhouse restaurant - Roca Vida - is well known, and has a terrace with wonderful views.

Maioris Golf Club18 entertaining holes in the south of Mallorca
Maioris Golf Club is located 15 minutes west of Palma de Mallorca on the south coast of Mallorca. The course was created in 2006 by Dieter Cabus and is of a championship standard. The 18 hole course is designed with challenging but fun tees which include five tees and five greens located next to the clubhouse. Four lakes and two island greens provide additional features to the course.
The course is aimed at all abilities although low handicap golfers will enjoy deciding how to play the approach shots to the greens. Maioris tends to be a touch quieter than the other clubs around Palma thanks to its out of way location.

Pollensa Golf ClubCharming 9 hole course in the north west of Mallorca
Pollenca Golf Club offers a 9 hole course in wonderful surroundings. Situated in the north west of Majorca, the club is set against the majesty of the Tramuntana mountains, and looking down on to the Bays of Pollenca & Alcudia. Pollença Golf Club was opened in 1986 (designed by Jose Gancedo) and underwent a complete renovation programme in the year 2000. The greens are maintained in excellent condition and the course incorporates two lakes. Olive and pine trees surround the fairways.
The course suits golfers of all abilities. There are a few natural hazards built into the course, and some doglegs to navigate.

Poniente Golf ClubPopular 18 hole course in the south west
One of Mallorca's oldest courses, Poniente golf course was designed by John Harris and first opened in 1978. It's well situated in the south west of Mallorca, close to the popular holiday resorts of Santa Ponsa, Magaluf & Palma Nova. The well designed course challenges even the best of players as they find it hard to beat at times - it remains a tough but fair course. It has 18 holes, is par 72 and 6430m long course with a mixture of flat and raised holes. Situated between pine trees, its seven lakes, numerous bunkers, the good condition of the fairways, together with the variety of the greens all contribute to the style and character of the course.
The slightly older feel of the club is reflected in the clubhouse that is housed in the original farmhouse (chickens still run around the terrace and the fairways!). The course, being not so difficult, is a great choice for mixed ability groups looking for a more informal round of golf. The course gets great reviews from it's users.

Pula Golf ClubEuropean Tour venue in the north east of Mallorca
Pula Golf Club was opened in 1995, originally designed by D.Santiago Sota. From 2004-2006, the course redesigned by Jose Maria Olazabal to prepare it for use on the International Pro-Tour. It is considered to be the most challenging golf course on Mallorca. A par 70 from the white tees, the course is 6246 metres. Varying tee points mean that all abilities of golfer can happily play here.
The club is situated In the north-east of Mallorca, by the town of Son Servera. Surrounded by several nature parks and close to the bay of Cala Millor, it sits in a beautiful part of Majorca. In addition to the Iberdrola open, the club also host numerous celebrity tournaments.

Puntiro Golf ParkChampionship 18 hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus, close to Palma
Puntiro Golf Park opened in 2006 and was designed by jack Nicklaus' firm, Nicklaus Design Company. The 18 hole course is a par 71 and has been integrated into the local environment to provide an immersive golfing experience - the course has been likened to a links course.
Whilst the course is suitable for all abilities, it can be quite challenging in places so low and medium handicaps are likely to fare the best. Wide fairways lead to sheltered greens and there are plenty of bunkers lining the fairway. A number of pot bunkers and water are also scattered around the course.

Rotana Private Golf Course9 hole course for hotel guests, just north of Manacor
Rotana Greens is a private 9-hole golf course just a few meters from the Rotana Hotel. the course is reserved for hotel & restaurant guests. There are no green fee or tee times, you play golf at your own pace when you like and as many times as you wish. Behind the hotel you will find a putting green, driving range, chipping green, practise bunker and practise Par 3. The course was rennovated in 2009 and is ideal for those looking to practice shots. Strategically placed bunkers and ponds provide challenges for the more advanced golfer. A PGA pro is on site to help you with your swing!

Santa Ponsa Golf ClubPopular 18 hole golf course in the south west of Mallorca
Santa Ponsa Golf Club consists of two 18 hole and one 9 hole golf courses. More than just a golf club, it is a resort where you can buy villas & apartments so to have golf on your doorstep. Of the three courses, the 18 hole Santa Ponsa I is open to the public - Golf Santa Ponsa II & III are for members of the club only.
Golf Santa Ponsa I is a 6,543 m, par 72 course and opened in 1977. Designed by Folco Nardi with assistance from Pepe Gancedo, Golf Santa Ponsa I provides a decent challenge for most golfers. It is a long, wide course with many indigenous trees and plants, with well positioned water hazards and bunkers. The 10th hole is one of the longest in Europe at 590m (white tee). Santa Ponsa I is one of Mallorca's busiest courses, and many national and international tournaments take place here.

Son Antem Golf ClubTwo 18 hole courses suitable for all abilities
There are two 18 hole courses at Son Antem Golf Club - the masterpieces of Francisco López Segalés, one of Spain’s leading course designers. Since 1990, he has designed courses in all the major resort areas of Spain. With Son Antem, Segalés has garnered rave reviews from professional golfers and vacationing ones alike.
The East Course is built on an old hunting estate, and is a par 72 layout. It is more suited to beginners and intermediate golfers, with easier holes to start with, and more challenging ones as you reach the end. Fairways are relatively wide, with the approaches to the greens requiring some accuracy to ensure a degree of success on the greens. Five lakes are situated throughout the course.
The par 72 West Course opened in September 2001, and provides an exciting challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The fairways are tight, and the course is laid out in open countryside, providing a true championship experience. The course features three lakes aorund which there are five holes. Woodlands surround the course and the gently sloping hills provide a picturesque experience of Mallorca.
Several key European golf tournaments have been held at Son Antem, including the Audi Quattro Cup and the Mallorca Cup.

Son Gual Golf ClubChampionship golf course close to Palma
Son Gual is a private, family-run members' golf club, set in 156 hectares of beautiful Mediterranean landscape. Guests are welcome, but should adhere to the club's etiquette rules. The course was designed by Thomas Himmel and opened in 2007. It's a challenging course, with carefully positioned bunkers, plenty of water hazards and undulating greens. The surrounding countryside consists of vineyards, lakes and well tended flowering fields.
The tee areas have an average area of 900 sqm with four separate teeing positions. And whilst the greens may be large, they are filled with deceptive breaks & borrows that require skillful approach shots. The elegant clubhouse has all the amenities that you may require and completes this first class club.

Son Muntaner Golf Club Exclusive & challenging 18 hole course close to Palma
The Son Muntaner golf course forms part of the Arabella golf complex in Son Vida, to the north west of Palma de Mallorca. Created in 2000 by Kurt Rossknecht, the course is considered one of the more challenging on Majorca. The fairways and the greens have carefully placed bunkers and some water hazards that require the golfer to place their shot as accurately as possible. With beautiful views down towards Palma and lush Mallorcan landscaping, Son Muntaner provides a glorious environment in which to play golf. The green fees are accordingly, on the high side.
Son Muntaner forms part of the Arabella Golf complex in Majorca and guests of the 5 star Arabella Golf and Spa resort receive one green fee per day at the course. Green fees for three other golf courses nearby (Son Quint, Son Vida and Son Quint Executive Course) are also included for guests. Son Quint Golf ClubBrand new 9 hole course close to Palma
The new 9-hole Executive Course at Son Quint was created by James Arnold in 2009. It has been landscaped using the native plants of Mallorca - featuring olive, carob and pine trees. Leyland cypresses provide a lateral protection to one side of the course. Throughout the 655 meters length of the course, stone walls typical to Mallorca, oleander bushes and lantana flowers complete a challenging, but fun short golf course. The course was designed so to make best use of the views down towards the city of Palma and the Bay area.
in addition to Son Quint golf course, there is also Son Quint Executive 9 hole course, which features 3 par holes. This is Mallorca's only public Pitch & Putt course and is a good choice for those new to golf and those wishing to practise their shots.

Son Servera Golf ClubEstablished course in the north east of Mallorca
Son Servera golf club is located in the north east of the island next to the sea in beautiful natural surroundings. The course was designed by John Harris and opened as a 9 hole course in 1967. In 2011 the course was extended to produce an 18 hole golf course of a par 72, and 6km in length. The course has, over the years, been affected by storms which have destroyed the original palm trees and other protective vegetation. New olive, oine & oak trees have replaced that which was lost.
The fairways on the course are somewhat narrow and there are bunkers galore, so concentration is the order of the day! There is a friendly club house with an acclaimed restaurant. Green fees are very reasonable.

Son Termens Golf ClubChallenging 18 hole course close to Palma
Son Termens Golf Course lies 10 km north of Palma de Mallorca. Designed by Harris Group & Josè Rodriguez, the course opened in 1998. Popular with the locals, this 18 hole course, par 71, has small greens and hilly fairways. The course is noted for being one of the more challenging on Majorca. Water on the front nine holes can be tricky to navigate and many of the greens are protected by bunkers and other natural obstacles. This course tends to be quieter than some of the better known courses, and you can enjoy wonderful scenery whilst playing your round.
No handicap certificate is required.

Son Vida Golf Club18 hole course close to Palma
The Son Vida golf course ranks among the island's most beautiful courses. Located just a few miles to the north west of Palma, the tree lined fairways offer breathtaking views of the spectacular surroundings down to the Bay of Palma. The course was one of the first to be created on Majorca in 1964 by F.W. Hawtree, but was rennovated in 2001 by Kurt Rossknecht. The 18 hole golf course is a par 71. The golf course consists of fairly tight fairways with two water hazards. The greens tend to be small & round, with bunkers on either side. Doglegs on the course create challenges for the more experienced player.

Vall d'Or Golf Club18 hole course on the east coast with a good variety of holes
Vall d'Or is an 18-hole golf course par 71, 5.539 m long from white tees. The course was designed by Bradford Benz and opened in 1985. It is situated in the east of Mallorca, close to Portocolom. It combines two completely different landscapes in the first and second round. The front nine holes have rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine, almond and olive trees. The back nine holes - added in 1993 - have wider and more uneven fairways that go down towards the coast. The greens, protected by bunkers, welcome all approach shots. It is an average-difficulty golf course but entertaining, and with magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea.
A swimming pool, paddle tennis, and a lovely restaurant with terrace bar complete the facilities at Vall d'Or.

There are mini-golf courses in many of the resorts, but this is one of the best, set amid waterfalls, caves and tropical gardens. There is a choice of three different circuits - or you can play all 54 holes. Even adults will enjoy it.
