Firemen Spend the Night with Injured German Tourist, North Mallorca
Trapped for the night in Torrent de Pareis between Pollensa & Soller
A 70 year old German tourist was injured yesterday as he and his party enjoyed the fantastic sights of the Torrent de Pareis, in the North West of Mallorca.
The Bomberos (Fire Brigade) were alerted by others in the party at 20:15 last night, when they made the decision to stay with the man for the night in this hard to access area where he had sustained a fracture to his arm. The firemen stayed by his side until they could get helicopter assistance from the Civil Guard first thing this morning.
At 08:00 he was rescued and taken by helicopter to the central hospital on Mallorca. We wish him a speedy recovery and commend the firemen for their dedication in the situation.
