Soller is a charming village on the west coast of Mallorca/Majorca. Although you can drive here, the main road is fairly unremarkable. You're much better to take the twisting old road, or if you want to travel like a Mallorcan of yesteryear you can take the old railway that runs from Palma to Soller.

Soller and it's neighboring port, the imaginatively titled Port de Soller, are popular destinations for those wanting to escape the busy hustle of Palma. Only an hour by train the town has some interesting architecture, great restaurants and will soon have the only seven star hotel in Europe.
