On the three kilometre stretch of road between the towns of Llucmajor and Campos the previous speed limit of 100km/h has now been reduced to 80km/h.

Appropriate signage should be in place along the route as of this week and overtaking is also prohibited. A guardrail will also be erected on a curve that is considered an accident black spot.

The Island Council is responding to concerns regarding road safety after two recent very serious accidents on this particular road.

When driving in Mallorca, please be alert and adhere to speed limits.
