Higher Employment Rates At The Balearics Tourist Industry
Great news for the Balearic tourist sector
The Balearic islands' economy relies more and more on the tourist industry. Not only does it employ more people in Mallorca than ever before, but almost a 45% of the total wealth comes from this sector.
A study of the economic impact of tourism on the Balearic islands in 2014 has been released, and it shows that the tourist industry has become the main agent for economic recovery in the region. Additionally, more people were employed in tourism-related jobs, with a 32% of the total.
With 2015 breaking even more records, it seems that the Balearics are destined to stay as one of the favourite destinations for European tourists in the coming years.
