Mallorca's Best Beaches
The beaches in Mallorca range from long white sandy beaches, to isolated rocky coves. Many of them are popular with tourist and locals alike, but it is still possible to find a peaceful spot if you are prepared to get off the beaten track. Some of the nicest beaches tend to have resorts attached to them, so they are busy but the upside of this is that they have extensive facilities and are great for families and children.

Some of Mallorca's nicest beaches have sadly been ruined by over-development and hold very little appeal for the beach-lover. In addition, a number of the more famous beaches simply do not live up to expectations, whether it be the beach is not clean, or the sand is coarse, or that the wind makes it almost impossible to lie out. We've listed a few of the beaches that come into this category here, with explanations on why we think you could do better elsewhere. Of course, that does not mean that they should be avoided completely, and it depends entirely on what you are looking for in a beach!
