Not quite as well known is that the bay is excellent for wind and kite surfing. And just a a little bit further down the coast from Playa de Muro, the wind surfers and kite surfers have laid claim to one of the best places on the island to ride the waves. ...more
Superyacht Cup 2010

The Superyacht Cup, which has been running for 15 years, is a race like no other. Twenty privately owned sailing yachts, which are generally designed for cruising rather than racing, set off in a staggered start with the fastest at the back of the pack and the slowest at the front. Over the course, the boats behind catch the slower vessels out in front so that the finish is close one with all the boats meeting at the line. First one to cross is the winner. ...more
Roxy's Beach Bar

Clean beach, soft sand, warm clear water, and well-behaved children... But what really MAKES a great day at the beach, is a great beach bar. And wahey - we found one. Down by the super-sexy marina in Peurto Portals, there is a small beach (to the east of the harbour wall) that is home to Roxy's Beach Bar. The bar sits on a rocky outcrop at the far end of the beach and faces west, where it catches the last rays of the setting sun. Open from 10am to 10pm, you can eat, drink and check out the views to chill-out music (which gets distinctively clubbier as the evening approaches). ...more
