Es Trenc Beach, Mallorca
Famous unspoilt beach on the south coast of Majorca
Es Trenc is not attached to any resort, so it is fairly isolated and has a wild and natural feel. There are 2km of golden sand and crystal clear water - it's often referred to as Mallorca's answer to the Caribbean.

However, we think that the beach is vastly over-rated. The sand is pretty coarse, there is a continuous wind, the car parking is crazy-expensive, and the beach itself is very narrow and can be full of debris.
The beach remains very popular and is very busy during peak times. The shallow water makes it suitable for children and there are several (expensive) beach bars and restaurants. This has long been an unofficial nudist beach, even during the puritanical Franco era. For all its faults, it does make for a more peaceful, less commercial beach compared to some of the others on Majorca's south coast. The car parking is cheaper at Ses Covettes entrance. The Es Trenc Restaurant offers parking for €10 which is then subtracted from your lunch bill, but the over-priced, indifferent quality food is probably not worth it.
It's great for windsurfing and wild natural beauty, but only out of season.
