The picturesque village of Puigpunyent claims an idyllic situation within a valley on the southeastern slopes of the craggy Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Forests of pine and evergreen oaks together with olive, almond and carob tree groves add to its beauty.

A relaxed, slow pace of life can be found in Puigpunyent but, being just a 20-minute drive from Palma, an expat community has been created here in recent years. It is especially popular amongst young families and those fond of outdoor pursuits. A couple of quality restaurants and cafes are attractive enough to bring in a few tourists, alongside the popular hiking and cycling trails passing through the village.
