The 11th edition of the spectacular TUI Marathon is due to take place this weekend in Palma de Mallorca.

Deputy Mayor for Culture and Sports of Palma City Council, Fernando Gilet, said on Monday, "This event has become the main marathon of the Mediterranean, and a model example of public-private partnership". The organization hopes to reach 11,000 runners from 54 countries across the full marathon, half marathon, 10 km race and Nordic walking events.

The City council wanted to encourage the participation of residents in this event by offering, in coordination with the organizers, a discount of 30% in the categories of half marathon, marathon, 10 km and Nordic walking, showing the benefits of hosting this event as a public-private partnership. The city's commitment is further evident in the bus advertising campaign, advertising on local radio, digital media, local and international press and illuminated signs.

The City of Palma de Mallorca's '365 Tourism Foundation' aims to show the image of sport in Palma 365 days a year. The TUI Marathon is a great example of this and offers various activities for all ages, as part of the event. As in previous editions, the popular children's race will take place on Saturday afternoon, after the Pasta Feast. The marathon, half marathon and 10km race, Walking and Nordic Walking events will all take place on Sunday.

There will be an event expo and market where people can meet, buy items for running, and other sporting goods such as health and wellness products. The market will be on all weekend at the Parc de la Mar.

We wish all the participants good luck as they take part in this fantastic event over the weekend!
