The Balearic Ministry of Tourism has provided 12.4 Million Euros for projects in tourist areas in Mallorca.

The money is to build new facilities in a number of areas on the island including Pollenca and Calvia. 3 Million will be spent building a sports centre with artificial football pitches and tennis courts in Colonia St Jordi as well as another sports centre in Cala Millor. The remaining money will be used on traffic calming measures in Magaluf and Pollenca as well as cycle paths in Cala D'Or and Alcudia and a number of renovation projects on Playa de Palma, Port de Soller, Santa Ponsa and Colonia Sant Jordi.

It is hoped that all the works will be completed by 2015 and encourage more tourist visitors to the areas.
