Art exhibition opens for the summer in Palma de Mallorca
Walking on Faces in Majorca
A new art exhibition opened last night in the La Llotja area of Palma de Mallorca. "Walking on Faces" is a new work by the Mallorcan artist Bernardi Roig that fills the church in Placa de la Llotja. 1700 pictures of contorted faces cover the floor of the building which is lit by a pillar of light and visitors are invited to walk over the images whilst contemplating the ever changing faces we present to the world.
The pictures are inspired by the sculptures of 18th century Austrian artist Franz Xaver Messerschmidt and the exhibition will be open until every day except Mondays, from six in the evening 'til midnight.
