British Airways have announced that they will increase their winter service from London's City Airport to Palma de Mallorca Airport following the success of last winter's flight schedule.

Two years ago BA did not offer any flights to the Balearics. Last winter they they began with two a week to Mallorca and Ibiza and the response to the service was so positive that they have decided to increase the number to five for Ibiza and four flights a week to Mallorca.

During the summer months there are hundreds of flights a week to Palma Airport and during peak season a plane leaves the runway every ninety seconds but in recent years it has been very difficult to visit the island in the winter months. Hopefully, with more flights from the centre of London now available, Mallorca will be easier than ever to visit for winter sun.
