Pollensa Pedestrianisation Plans Take Shape
Plans to make the beach-front road in Puerto Pollenca semi-pedestrianised move forward with more funding agreed.
The proposed project will feature a new cycle lane, whilst keeping a single lane for traffic and a parking area on the opposite side to the beach.
The Pollensa town council is expected to approve a modification to the original budget so that the total budget for the realisation of the project is 1.2 million Euros, of which 50% will be covered by the regional tourism ministry.
The town hall will take responsibility for the design of the project with the local architect. Whilst the ministry will oversee the tendering, expected this autumn.
