Tour de France winner and Olympic gold medalist Bradley Wiggins returns to Mallorca this week for a winter training camp. He will spend the next 10 days here in Mallorca in order to train for next season where he hopes to add the Giro d'Italia to one of his winning titles.

Wiggins will be accompanied by a young British cyclist Kieran Frend whom he is currently mentoring. The training camp will consist of intense three day training sessions followed by a rest day. It is not even two weeks since Wiggins got knocked off his bike in Lancashire but he feels fit enough to start preparing for next season.

Professional British cyclists are regulars to Mallorca for both training and holidays. Bradely Wiggins usually comes to the island with Team Sky during the sunny winter months for training in the challenging Tramuntana mountains but he also celebrated his Olympic victory with a holiday in Puerto Pollenca in August.
