Eduardo Arroyo exibiting at Palma's Juan March Foundation

A collection of portraits and self portraits will show at the Palma museum until May

The Madrid born artist is exhibiting 'Retratos y retratos', 'Portraits and portraits', at the Museo Fundación Juan March in Palma de Mallorca. The exhibition began in February and will show until the 18th May, featuring in the permanent collection of 'pictorial language' of twentieth century Spanish art at the Juan March Foundation.


The exhibit will be of around one hundred works comprising of thirty-three paintings and drawings, a selection of photography and eight sculptures.

Artist Eduardo Arroyo left Spain in the late 1950's due to Franco's regime and left for Paris to pursue his art and and set design, whilst collaborating with artists such as Gilles Aillaud and Joan Miró. Arroyo is known for his storytelling through portraits and artistic photography.

The Juan March Foundation Museum consists of some of the most important twentieth century of Spanish works including artists such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Juan Gris.

The museum is open from Monday - Friday 10.00am-6.30pm, Saturday 10.30am-2.00pm and closed on Sundays and holidays.
