featured in News & reviews Author James Fisher, Mallorca Video Reporter Updated

The island reserve of Cabrera is to open a hostel allowing visitors to stay the night.

The hostel, which will allow visitors to stay the night on the island for the first time ever, will use the old army barracks in the main bay of Cabrera. The Hostel will sleep twenty four people in twelve double rooms and will open on April 1st. Guests will be able to stay for one night during the summer season (June to September) for €60 or two nights in the off season for €50 a night.

The island is a beautiful, unspoiled part of Mallorca and to beable to watch the sun rise and set would be a real privilege. Rooms can be booked up to three months in advance from the Official Government Website. Transport to and from the Island will still need to be organised independantly but there are a number of charter options from Colonia St Jordi.
