Location for New Casino in Mallorca Chosen
Plans for New Gran Casion Teatro Balear to Open in Palma de Mallorca
The old bingo hall “Teatro Balear” near the Olivar market has beaten off competition from locations in Playa de Palma and Bendinat and been awarded the commission to build a new Casino in Mallorca.
The casino will be called the Gran Casion Teatro Balear and plans to open on July 1st 2014 if permission is granted by the City Council. The idea is to move attractions back into the city centre and away from outlying suburbs in an attempt to rejuvenate Palma de Mallorca. It is hoped that the Casino will create 170 new jobs.
