Beaches in Mallorca enjoyed their first taste of summer this weekend with warm temperatures and cloudless skies.

The good weather brought the first busy beach day of the new season to the Mallorca beaches with visitors enjoying temperatures in the mid twenties. The highest temperatures were recorded in Calvia Son Vic Nou with the mercury spiking at 26.7, further south the thermometer read 25 degrees and only in the highest points of the Tramuntana did the temperature fail to reach twenty. Although the water is still pretty “refreshing” at 17 degrees there were even some braving the chill and swimming in the sea.

Summer might not have hit the UK yet but Mallorca is certainly warming up and the forecast for the coming week is promising with temperatures staying in the twenties amking the next few weeks the perfect time to visit the island for golf and cycling.

Warm weather and twenty courses on the island make Mallorca a perfect destination for anyone inspired by this weekend's Masters and don't forget that the roads of Mallorca were the training ground for Bradley Wiggins before last years Tour de France and Olympic wins.
