The November calendar is full in Mallorca with towns across the island playing host to traditional firas each weekend of the month. The firas are a chance for the small rural towns to welcome visitors and to show off their local produce.

This weekend there will be the Gerret Fish Fair in Port de Soller and the final of three fairs in Inca as it approaches the Dijous Bo Fair which has a big market selling produce & crafts, and has small fair rides and other activities for children.

Next weekend (11&12 November) sees the annual Pumpkin Fair in the northern town of Muro and the artisan handicraft fair in Pollenca.

Dijous Bo, literally meaning 'good Thursday' in Inca is the largest fira in Mallorca and is on the 15th. The town of Inca celebrate their patron saint on the evening of the 14th and spend the next day celebrating at the fira.

Other notable firas are the Olive Fair in Caimari on the 17th-18th, Honey Fair in Llubi on the 18th, the new wine fair in Santa Maria del Cami on the 24th-25th, the Sa Pobla Autumn Fair and the Mushroom Fair in Mancor de la Vall on the 25th.

All fairs sell local crafts, food and other produce. Most firas will also offer entertainment such as music from the Mallorcan ximbomba drum and celtic bagpipes, gaitas.
