New Parking system for one of Mallorca's best beaches

Es Trenc beach to have a parking ticket system this summer

Es Trenc is one of the most popular beaches in Mallorca. White sands and crystal clear water have made it a favourite for anyone looking for a beach when holiday in Mallorca but the beach can be a nightmare to get to.

Es Trenc sits on the bottom south east peninsula of the island and off is main road down a narrow country lane. In the busy summer months the road can become backed-up for over a mile as people park on the side of the narrow road slowing the flow of traffic.

A new parking ticket system is to be introduced this summer to assist with the free flow of traffic along the road. From June 15th to September 15th visitors will need a ticket to park in the area at a cost of €5 a day.

The news of the parking system comes as the demolition of the unfinished apartment buildings at the end of the beach comes to a close. The buildings which have been left as an eye-sore for nearly twenty years after a legal challenged halted construction should be cleared by the middle of the month.

With easier access and the removal of these building Es Trenc will become an ever more popular spot on the islands south east coast.
