Omega Pharma - Quick Step feature in Challenge Mallorca road cycling race

Four day road cycling race beings this Sunday

Professional cycling outfit Omega Pharma - Quick Step will have many riders competing in their first road cycling race of the season at the Challenge Mallorca which begins this weekend.

Current world time trial champion Tony Martin will be competing at Mallorca's pro-cycling race, along with team mates Gianni Meersman and Michal Golas.

Quick Step will be without last years sprinter Andy Fenn who won the Trofeo Palma and Trofeo Migjorn. The team are now focusing on the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana and Trofeo Platja de Muro for this years event which are better suited to the teams ability.

The four day race is the first pro cycling event in Europe this year. Omega Pharma - Quick Step have been in Mallorca since the 24th January in order to prepare for the race which begins on Sunday. The team have 10 cyclists taking part.

Team Sky will also be racing at this years event with Sir Bradley Wiggins taking part before heading to the Tour of Oman along with team mate Chris Froome.
