Soller to host hiking & mountain tourism conference
The president of the Balearics, Francesc Antich has announced that Soller will host an international conference on hiking and mountain tourism later this year. The president is currently promoting Mallorca at a tourism fair in Berlin.
The conference will be held from 29th October to 1st November 2011, and has the support of the government, the City of Soller, Soller Hotel Association and the Balearic Federation of Mountaineering. It is hoped that it will attract several hundred travel agents throughout Europe that specialise in outdoor & adventure holidays.
Soller is located in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains in the west of Majorca and is an excellent base for those wishing to explore the wild countryside, either by hiking, climbing, horse riding or biking. More information can be found on our Sports & Golf pages.
