featured in News & reviews Author Nicola Henderson, Site Editor Updated

There has been some relief from the summer temperatures this week due to the prevalence of a north wind from north eastern Europe. Temperatures fell up to five degrees in some parts of Mallorca. The interior of the island was most affected - in Binissalem, temperatures fell from a recorded 34.3 degrees Celsius on Monday, to 28.9 degrees yesterday. The southern areas of Mallorca are also experiencing lower than average temperatures, with Palma expected to reach 28 degrees today. The north wind will pass by the end of the week, with temperatures rising again for the weekend.
