Wiggins to compete in the Mallorca Challenge Cycle Race 2013

Mallorca welcomes many of the top cycling teams to this year's race

Riders are beginning to be confirmed for the 22nd Iberostar Mallorca Cycling Challenge race, which takes place at the beginning of February.

Sir Bradley Wiggins of Team Sky has been confirmed by race organisers, along with seveal of his team mates, including fellow Brit Chris Froome. They are currently training in Mallorca.

The Mallorca Challenge is an international event and attracts many of the top teams of the cycling world. It consists of a series of four one-day races held throughout the island, and is sponsored by Spanish hotel chain Iberostar.

Other teams scheduled to race this year include Omega Pharma (Tony Martin, Sylvain Chavanel, Adrea Greipel, Jurgen van den Broeck), Movistar (Alejandro Valverde), Euskaltel Euskadi (Igor Anton), White Procycling (Luis Leon Sanchez), Lampre and Garmin-Sharp (Tyler Farrar).
