Originally from Castilla-La Mancha, a region in central Spain, Antonio has been living in Mallorca for over 25 years, many of those involved in the hospitality and real estate businesses. As managing partner of Finest Selection Real Estate Group, he is an authority on Mallorca's luxury property market.

How long have you been in Mallorca? Do you remember your first trip to the island?

I moved to Mallorca in 1990 starting my career in the hospitality industry. I fell in love with Mallorca at first sight.

If someone was coming to Mallorca for the first time, what would you suggest they absolutely must do or see in resort?

Mallorca has so much to offer. A visitor should not miss the Sierra de Tramuntana, Palma's beautiful city centre or the many beaches on this paradise island. You get easily addicted to this island, buying a second home here has never been more appealing.

Where would send someone who was after that something 'something special' in resort, to stay, eat or drink?

There are endless locations to choose from, but I prefer Palma's intimate restaurant scene.

Your favourite place for lunch or dinner?

The Portals Hills Boutique Hotel in Portals Nous. Their exclusive fine restaurant, Collins, is one of the best on the island to experience fusion Mediterranean cuisine. I love their chic white and gold dining area, and all their dishes made with organic, seasonal produce sourced from local farmers! I always order some of their classics such as the Angus steak tartare with yuca chips or the delicious Mozzarella di Buffala with tomato, fresh basil and black olive tapenade, perfect for a hot summer day's lunch.

Where should we for a coffee or a drink?

Paseo Born or La Lonja in Palma.

Where would you go for a bit of culture & atmosphere?

Again Palma de Mallorca with its many galleries, museums and busy street cafes and cocktail bars.

Where is your favourite beach?

The beach next to Puerto Portals.
