Born and bred in Mallorca's capital city, Palma, Carlos Moyá has demonstrated that he is in better shape than ever. The former ATP number 1 (in 1999) has triumphed at the Legends Cup which took place at Palma Sports & Tennis Club this weekend.

This tournament brought some of the best ex-professional male tennis players in history to the island, including Tim Henman, Mats Wilander, Henri Leconte, Thomas Enqvist, Mikael Pernfors, Fernando González and Mark Philippoussis. For two days they battled for a place in the final at Palma Sports & Tennis Club which has been hosting this event for three years.

The central court was the perfect stage for the Legend Cup's last match which placed Carlos Moyá against Alex Corretja. After three sets (6-3, 6-3) the Mallorcan triumphed. Despite having been one of the most legendary players in recent history, Moyá is currently better known for being Rafa Nadal's coach. His influence has allowed the Manacor-born player to reach the top again, having risen to the ATP's number 1 last August after winning his 10th French Open and 3rd US Open this year.
