First celebrities of the year spotted in Mallorca

The celebrity sighting season has started early in Mallorca. This weekend, ex-Manchester United star Ryan Giggs and Lady Amelia Windsor were seen sunbathing on the island's beaches, taking advantage of the beautiful sunny weather that has graced us.

The legendary football player spent a weekend on the Balearic island with a group of friends. He enjoyed an afternoon soaking up the sun at Roxy's Beach Bar in Portals Nous, a very popular spot among the locals perched upon in a rocky headland near the coastal Mallorcan town.

Labelled "The most beautiful member of the Royal Family" by Tatler, 24-year-old Lady Amelia Windsor also decided to fly to Mallorca last weekend for a short sunny break. The Instagram queen and millennial influencer, 36th in the line of succession, posted a summery pic sipping on a drink in Palma.

Finally, Danish star Mads Mikkelsen was seen dining out in the trendy neighbourhood of Santa Catalina, Palma's gastronomic hotspot where he has reportedly bought an apartment. The Star Wars and Casino Royale actor is a huge fan of the island, having chosen Mallorca for his family holidays in 2013 and 2014 when he favoured the areas of Andratx and Santa Ponsa. Now that he owns a luxury pad in the capital, we will probably see a lot more of him this summer 2017.
