The sheer number of high-quality golf courses available in Mallorca will impress even the most experienced golfer. The island welcomes both professionals and amateurs from all over the world year round.

There are many factors that contribute to creating the perfect golfing holiday and it seems Mallorca ticks all of the boxes. Here are just some of the reasons why we believe Mallorca has become one of Europe’s top golfing holiday destinations in recent years.

Unbeatable weather

With around 300 days of sunshine per year, Mallorca’s climate is perfect for golfing throughout the four seasons. However, we would suggest you try to avoid playing between 13:00 and 16:00 in the peak summer months when the sun is at its highest.

Stunning terrain & views

Golf courses in Mallorca are often carefully designed to preserve the island's natural beauty, which means you will be surrounded by olive, fig and palm trees along with ancient walls and landmarks throughout your round of golf. The views are truly exceptional too, whether it’s a mountain backdrop, panoramic views of the sea or valleys and vineyards, you won’t be disappointed.

Wide range of golf courses

There are over 20 golf courses on the island with widely varying layouts. Not only will you not have to travel far to find a course, there is something for every ability, from 9-hole pitch and putts like the Golf Son Quint and resort-style layouts to first class championship courses like Puntiro Golf Course. Nearly all of them are accessible for tourists visiting the island. These are our top 4 picks:

Alcanada Golf Course
Overlooking Alcúdia bay, Club de Golf Alcanada delivers premium service both on and off the course which has led to it being named as one of the best golf courses in Spain. The golf academy is one of most critically acclaimed on the island, making it a favourite spot for golfers to improve their swing.

Son Gual Golf Course
Recently included in the new Rolex World’s Top 1000 Golf Courses Guide, Son Gual is also Rafa Nadal’s favourite course on the island. It's a challenging course, even for the most seasoned golfers, making it one of the most talked about courses in Mallorca.

Son Muntaner Golf Course
Son Muntaner is the most prestigious of the three-course complex at the 63-hole Arabella Golf resort in Son Vida. As one of the more demanding courses on the island, expect slithering lake runs and difficult bunkers to truly test your skills.

T Country Club & Golf Course
Located in the southwest of Mallorca, this is one of the oldest and most established golf courses on the island. Its enchanting beauty and prime location certainly make it stand out from the crowd.
