featured in News & reviews Author Pam Williamson, Mallorca Editor Updated

Having already spent several seasons in the Club de Mar marina, the Qatari superyacht Al Mirqab is back in the Bay of Palma.

Originally built for Qatari royalty, the yacht now belongs to Qatar's former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. One of the largest motor yachts ever built it is an impressive sight in the marina at 133 metres in length. The yacht's stunning exterior was designed by Tim Heywood, whilst her interior design is the work of Winch Design.

Winning the coveted ‘Motor Yacht of the Year’ award at The World Superyacht Awards in 2009 and ‘Best Interior Design’ in the motor yacht category for her Winch-designed interior, Al Mirqab is one of the most beautiful yachts on the water.

The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 10 guest suites, each with their own bathroom, living room and double bedroom, with two VIP suites for the yacht owner. The yacht has a crew of 55, who have their own good-sized rooms. Some of the amenities on board include a cinema, inside swimming pool and outside jacuzzi and a helicopter pad.

Make sure to check her out next time you are passing the Club de Mar marina in Palma.
