This summer keeps bringing high temperatures to the beach paradise of Mallorca. The AEMET, Spain's National Meteorology Agency, has predicted that temperatures will reach up to 42ºC this week.

An orange alert has been issued for today, Monday, when the thermometer will rise up to 40ºC in southern and central Mallorca. It is not an isolated phenomenon as the whole of Spain is under the influence of a heat wave.

The northern half of the island will be the hottest area throughout the week, with temperatures increasing as the week progresses reaching up to 42ºC.
