Farmers in Mallorca have been struggling the past few months with water shortages. However, this lack of rain is actually beneficial for vines, and it seems like this year's wine harvest will be one of the greatest yet.

Less water and more sun mean that sugar and aromas are more concentrated inside the grapes, yielding a better wine. Producers belonging to the Binissalem and Pla de Llevant areas were allowed to irrigate their vineyards even when waters cuts were in place.

Grapes will be harvested in September, starting with white Chardonnay and Moscatel and finishing with red Cabernet Sauvignon and native Gorgollassa in early October. We just cannot wait to try this year's wine production!
