The website trivago.es has selected the 10 best destinations in Spain for active tourism, and Mallorca has found its way into the list! They have based their choice on the range of activities offered and availability of accommodation.

The island's main selling point for this up-and-coming version of tourism combining adventure, ecotourism and culture, was the Sierra de la Tramuntana. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the perfect spot for hiking and cycling routes, as shown by the amount of German tourists that choose it as their holiday destination every year. This mountain range is located close to the sea and dotted with beautiful small villages, making it the ideal place for tourists looking for a more active holiday.

Mallorca also has rivers perfect for canyoning, and lots of caves to explore. Divers can find great spots on the North coast of the island, or at the small uninhabited islet of Cabrera.

Most of the other destinations in the list are located on the north of Spain, such as Asturias, Cantabria, Euskadi, Galicia, Huesca or Lleida. The selection ends with Cádiz, Canarias and Cuenca.
