The company, Camper, was founded by Lorenzo Fluxà Rosselló in 1975 after he inherited a shoe factory from his father, Antoni Fluxà, a Mallorcan shoemaker.

The first Camper store opened in Barcelona in 1981 and the brand then went international in 1992, expanding mainly in Europe with shops in London, Paris and Milan, and later Japan, Taiwan and the United States.

For their summer 2016 collection Camper have returned to home island of Mallorca for inspiration. Focussing on three hot spots; Deia, Es Trenc and Arelluf, the #MallorcaByCamper collection features some innovative and highly creative designs.

Many of the designs have a sculptural and futuristic feel to them, reinterpreting some traditional shoe shapes, such as the clog. Another example is the Kobarah which is made of a single piece of lightweight material that wraps around the foot for a distinctive, sculptural effect.

Have a look for yourself and see if you can find 'your' Mallorca in these works of art...
