The eagerly-anticipated event on 20th August forms part of the band’s global Big Love tour and celebrates Simply Red’s 30th anniversary.

The iconic Miami skyscraper development, Missoni Baia, will sponsor the VIP area at the Simply Red concert in Palma's bullring. High-end Italian fashion house Missoni (famous for its colourful zigzag-patterned knitwear) teamed up with real estate developer OKO Group to create 146 residences in a 57 storey building fronting Miami’s Biscayne Bay in the US.

David Giles, who was responsible for bringing Simply Red to the same Mallorca venue back in 2008, said, “My music career started in Miami, co-owning a nightclub with Ronnie Wood in the 80s and going on to throw huge events and festivals from the 90s onwards, so it’s with a sense of great pride that Missoni Baia is lending its name to the VIP area this August. Laying on pre-show champagnes and wines, the team behind Missoni’s first residential development in Miami is keen to show Majorca’s elite where they can find their winter sun. And as someone who summers in Spain and winters in Miami, I am right behind them."

Simply Red, fronted by flame-haired Mick Hucknall, has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and is best known for hits such as Holding Back the Years, If You Don’t Know me by Now and Fairground. General admission tickets for the Palma bullring concert are priced from 50€ and can be purchased online.

Several VIP packages are on offer, from 150€ unnumbered tickets to 4,000€ boxes that seat ten – a cool 400€ each. All have the benefit of Missoni Baia’s pre-show drinks, a separate VIP entrance (no queuing) and access to Pacha Mallorca after party. Demand is strong, so early reservation is recommended.
