In a bid to continue promoting cultural and participative activities in Mallorca, the elegant new Port Adriano is opening it's doors (or gates!) to the film makers of Mallorca with the Port Adriano Short-Film contest.

Giving both professional and amateur film-makers the opportunity, as well as artists in other areas, of showing their artwork to the public through new channels, the short-film competition will be accepting entries up until the 17th April 2016. Participation is open and free and your entry can be a short-film, a music video, video art or any form of audio-visual work with a maximum duration of 5 minutes. The theme is left up to the individual and does not have to have a nautical base, but the one stipulation is that half of the piece is filmed in Port Adriano in Calvia.

Without a doubt, filming in a marina designed by the world renowned designer Phillippe Starck, full of corners to be discovered and blessed with a great light, you already have elements for a master piece.

The finalists work will be projected in CineCiutat cinema in Palma, in an awards and closing ceremony later in April. The contest is also in collaboration, and under the endorsement of CortoEspaña, a national platform for the exhibition and projection of short-films for the whole of Spain.

There is also €10,000 of prize money up for grabs, with a first prize of €5,000 and €500 being awarded to the most viewed film in social media.
