Scorching hot in Mallorca this week

Temperatures to reach 36 degrees from Wednesday to Friday

Spain has been feeling the heat this week, with the mercury rising up above 40 degrees in many parts of the country. A new heat wave arrives in Mallorca this Wednesday, with temperatures set to reach between 34 and 36 degrees and remain until Friday.

This phenomenon is due to the arrival of a high-pressure system from the south, which might also bring a dust cloud. A yellow alert has been issued for the northern half of Mallorca on Wednesday and Thursday because of the sweltering heat.

Authorities recommend you try and avoid being outdoors in the middle of the day, drink plenty of water and cover up well when you are in the sun with long loose layers and plenty of sunscreen.
