It's been a great 2016 season in Mallorca, not only because of the wonderful weather but also because of the increased spending from visitors. So far, tourists have left almost €13 million in the Balearics, a 10.5% more than the same period last year.

Spain's National Statistics Institute have also revealed that the country has received almost €69 million from international visitors in 2016. Brits are the biggest spenders, with 21% of the total - in spite of the pound's post-Brexit low value -, followed by Germans with almost 15%, and France with 9% of the total. This means that foreign tourists have spent a little over €1000 each in an average holiday of 7.5 days.

Great news indeed, which mean even greater things for 2017, with more money to splash on Mallorca's services and infrastructures. So wait no longer and take a look at our hand-picked hotels and villas to start booking your next holidays in Mallorca.
