Swedes love Mallorca
Balearic island is Sweden's favourite holiday destination
Trivago, the global hotel search engine, has published a list of the favourite holiday destinations among Europeans. Mallorca has reached number one in Sweden, above New York and Barcelona.
Palma de Mallorca has also made it to the top ten in Italy, Portugal and Germany. Playa de Palma, on the other hand, is high on the list in among Germans, while S'Arenal is a top choice for the Dutch. Mallorca is not the only Balearic island to make it into this list; Ibiza has been rated number one among Dutch holidaymakers, while it is one of the top ten picks in the UK and Italy.
