The 'Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca' or Mallorca Challenge is one of the world's most prestigious races and the first big event on the cycling calendar. Every year, the best cyclists participate in the competition in preparation for the upcoming season, and Team Sky have been the first to confirm their attendance for the 2017 edition.

Three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome will lead the team taking part in the Mallorca Challenge, together with colleagues Mikel Landa, Sebastián Henao, Beñat Intxausti and Mikel Nieve. 27-year-old Italian Diego Rosa, who recently signed with Team Sky, will also take part in the Mallorcan race.

Team Sky will not have to travel far for this competition as, like they do every year, they will be holding their winter training camp on the island in December and January.
