Hungarian airline Wizz Air announce new routes to Balearic Islands
On 17th June 2016, the airline Wizz Air announced new summer routes from their base in Budapest. Starting from 2nd August they will operate three weekly flights to Palma and two weekly flights to Ibiza.
Bringing the Balearic Islands to the Hungarian market has already proven to be a success with the maiden flight from Budapest to Ibiza carrying 214 passengers to the White Isle. From the beginning of August the new schedule will include flights on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between Budapest and Palma de Mallorca and Tuesday and Saturday flights to Ibiza.
In total in 2016 Wizz already announced and will launch 11 new routes from Budapest to Nice, Baden-Baden, Reykjavik, Liverpool, Ibiza, Varna, Bucharest, Sofia, Porto, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
