The Rafa Nadal Sports Centre is situated just outside Manacor and is the perfect destination for those who love health, sports and wellness.

The centre offers all sports in one place. Their extensive facilities include: 

  • Fitness Centre: 3,000m2 space with all the latest cardio and weights equipment including a dedicated pilates machines room.
  • 26 Tennis Courts: Both indoor and outdoor courts with clay and green-set surfaces.
  • Indoor 25-metre pool
  • Outdoor pool
  • A 7-a-side and a 11-a-side football field
  • An athletics 400-metre track
  • 7 paddle courts
  • 2 squash courts

The centre caters to children as well as adults, with instruction in various fitness and sporting activities from their 40 experienced professional instructors. Some of the training programmes they run include their Tennis Academy and their Triathalon and Cycling programme.

For relaxation after your workout, the centre has its very own spa with thermal pools, sauna and hammam (steam room). You can also indulge in a wide range of massage, body and beauty treatments from their professional therapists.

If you have any injuries or are looking for advice about nutrition and lifestyle, then the centre also include a clinic run by Juaneda Sport Health who specialise in sports medicine, physiotherapy and nutrition.

2. Mega Sport Centre

Mega Sport Centre is much more than a sports complex. Located to the north west of Palma, next to the Municipal Stadium and the Son Moix Polideportivo, this centre covers more than 12,000 square meters.

The facility was created in November 2000 and employs more than 100 specially trained professionals. The centre has more than 325 weekly group classes, 10 halls, an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and excellent fitness room. Racquet sports are also catered for, with 13 paddle (9 doubles and 4 singles) and three squash courts. Open all day every day - including Sundays and holidays.

3. Nou Olimpic Gym

Located in the north of Palma (Estacions) Gimnàs Olimpic is a large and friendly (English speaking) gym with a wide and varied choice of fitness options.

From 7am until 1130pm (Monday to Friday, reduced hours Saturday, closed Sunday), the fitness room incorporates classic elements of fitness (such as rope or ladder, currently used by firefighters and police officers) to the latest trends in cardiovascular exercise. Spinning, fitness & dance classes, pilates, judo, and a climbing wall are all available.

4. Illes Centro de Wellness

There are seven Illes centers in Mallorca, three in Palma (Aragon, Central and Dona), and centres in Rapinya, Marratxí, Inca and in Santa Ponsa.

The gyms have a wide selection of good quality weights and cardio machines. Aerobic fitness classes are run on a regular basis (dance, step, body pump, etc). Pilates, yoga, taekwondo, tai-chi (amongst others) are also available.

Several of the centres now also have both indoor and outdoor swimming pool facilities or will organise excursions to the local waterparks.

ZonaFitness Gym, Alcudia

5. ZonaFitness Gym

Attached to the Sea Club Alcudia hotel and resort, ZonaFitness is also open to people not staying in the sea club complex and prices area available for one day visits at or by the week or month dependant upon your needs.

The gym boasts a large fitness area including free weights space as well as classes in Crossfit, Zumba, yoga, Pilates, circuits and kangaroo jumps amongst others and also has several dance and fitness programs for kids.

Sharing the space with ZonaFitness is ZonaBeauty, a health and wellbeing department offering manicures, pedicures and facials as well as hair removal, eyebrow and lash treatments and a range of massages and full body treatments, some children’s massages and beauty treatments also available.

Doble 8 Indoor Climbing Centre, Palma de Mallorca

6. Doble 8 Indoor Climbing Centre

Located on the outskirts of Palma, this is the highest indoor climbing centre in Mallorca, also offering indoor and outdoor courses.

On their 8m high climbing wall, they have over 30 climbing routes with more than 3200 holds. There are also areas for warming up and working out, events, a specialised store, a 4m high bouldering area and an acrobatics area with trapeze.

They offer indoor and outdoor lessons (rock climbing and water soloing), from beginners to instructors and children, as well as rappel, canyoning, slacklining, vertical dance and circus acrobatics lessons.

Open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 22:00; Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16:00 to 22:00; Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00. Closed on Sunday.

7. Gymnapolis

The Gymnapolis was established in 1991 and is a gym for everybody, with good vibes and focus on healthy living and physical activity.

In the fitness room you can train your muscles with free weights and machines, and the cardiovascular system with the bike, step machines and rowing machines. Classes include spinning, aerobics, step, cardio-tone, pump, pilates, zumba and aerobics. Opening hours vary throughout the year so please enquire for details in advance to avoid disappointment.

8. Palma Sport & Tennis Club

Founded in 1964, Mallorca Tennis was built by the Barcelona architect Francesc Mitjans, designer of the famous Camp Nou football stadium in Barcelona and other significant buildings in Spain.

Today, totally refurbished, the club offers its local and international members a high quality range of services, varying from private tennis lessons and body pump to hot yoga, cross training and much more.

Palma Sport & Tennis Club has five clay courts, including one centre court, all of which are flood light for evening games. The centre court can seat around 1200 people which makes it the ideal place for international tournaments and local competitions.

With a beautifully landscaped outdoor swimming pool you can enjoy the sporting activities offered both indoor and outdoor. The gym is fully stocked with the latest gear and training equipment. The spa are also offers massage therapies and beauty treatments for that 'all-round' pampering experience.
