Mallorca is home to a selection of short, less challenging courses, perfect for beginners or part timers, while a number of award-winning greens will challenge even the most experienced of golfers. The island plays host to several golf competitions and championship tournaments, some of which include: The Spanish Professional Championship; The Balearic Islands Trophy; and The Challenge H.R.H. Count of Barcelona, among many others.
Mallorca’s golf courses can be found in some of the island’s most stunning locations, generally with sea or mountain views. Ranging in difficulty, the majority of courses are 18-holes, with a couple of shorter 9-hole greens. If you’re after an indulgent, fully packaged golfing holiday, larger golf courses are attached to luxury 5-star hotels, where you can take advantage of reduced green fees and benefit from ease of access. Most of these hotels also offer extensive spa facilities and exceptional restaurants. Have a look at the Golf Hotels available in Mallorca.
