Café Ca’n Topa Soller Cycling

1. Ca’n Topa Café

Location
Soller

Known for its freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade snacks, this café offers a perfect break with stunning views of Palma Bay and the Sóller valley.

A mountain pass is traditionally a place of transit, but for cyclists, it often becomes a destination in itself. Café Ca’n Topa is one of those special spots that make the climb up the winding roads to the Coll de Sóller all the more rewarding. The promise of a coffee break turns an already stunning ride through the Tramuntana mountains between Bunyola and Sóller into an even more delightful experience. The route offers breathtaking views, with sweeping panoramas of Palma Bay and the lush orange groves of the Sóller valley.

At Café Ca’n Topa, those very oranges are transformed into freshly squeezed juice, served alongside a selection of savoury and sweet snacks. Everything is homemade by Paula and Damian, who have been warmly welcoming cyclists, hikers, and travellers for years. At nearly 500 metres above sea level, cafés like this are a rarity on the island, except for the traditional refugis.

Standing at precisely 497 metres, Café Ca’n Topa is a favourite pit stop for cyclists, many of whom pause for a selfie in front of the Coll de Sóller sign. While some might speed by in their brightly coloured jerseys, the vibrant mix of languages and laughter on the terrace is a sure sign that you’ve reached the top spot.
