Salt Marshes and Southern Cliffs Tour, Palma

1. South Mallorca Hidden Gems Tour

This is a different way to enjoy a quality guided tour with your own car, and discover little-known hidden places hand in hand with a local guide using portable radios whilst you drive.

Covering a route of around 97km, on this 5 hour tour (plus 30 minute briefing) you can explore the South East coast of Mallorca on a scheduled route through the municipality of Llucmajor, with several stops and visits where you can learn about different cultural, gastronomic and landscape values.

The portable radio devices use a private frequency, are easy to install and use and are bidirectional - allowing all the vehicles to interact with each other as well as listening to the different commentaries of the Driveando guides.

You will be driving along the south east coast, stopping off at Faro de Es Cap Blanc: a place with amazing views from the cliffs, and while you sample delicious ensaimada the guide will explain the difficult life of the lighthouse keepers and introduce you to the world of a very peculiar figure, Mr Jan March. Next you will head to the Salt Marshes Flor de Sal d'es Trenc to learn how these marshes function and produce different types of salt, ending with a selection of Quelita biscuits and cheese. Then onto Astestruz, a wonderful agro-poultry farm owned by the same family for 20 years, where ostriches are the main attraction, and finally you will head to Burguera's Dairy to discover the only dairy farm in Mallorca where they make all their own cheese, you will meet the cows and taste their produce as you learn about these artisan cheesemakers.

The trip finishes in Sa Rapita, next to the Playa d'es Trenc.

The tour has two departure times and you will need to provide your own vehicle and petrol.

2. Xtrem Kart

This indoor electric go-kart track is open all year round.

3. Karting

Come and enjoy the race circuit at Karts Can Picafort in the North of Majorca, close to the bay of Alcudia. The facilities are located in the industrial park of Can Picafort, with one of the finest tracks in Europe (which follows the current European regulations of security).

They cater for children from 4 years old upwards, adults and groups, so whatever the occasion (birthday, stag, hen or corporate incentive) there will be something everyone can do.

There is also a free car park, a snack bar, a garage and a children’s playground, plus an exhibition and sales of ancient and classic motorbikes, both restored and not restored.

The circuit is open every day from the 1st of May to the 31st of October from 10am to 10pm, and from the 1st of November to the 30th April every day except Monday from 10am to 8pm.

4. Kartingmania

Alcudia beach resort's Kartingmania is one of the best Karting set ups in Mallorca. Open from 9.30 'til midnight it has karts for all levels and their custom built track was designed to offer nothing but fun.

British Biz Karts with unrestricted engines, Kids Karts and more await.

Arrive and Drive! There's no need to book. The circuit is open from 9.30am until midnight.

5. Charming Villages, Legends & Windmills Tour

Covering a route of around 70km, on this 5 hour tour you can explore hidden places on a scheduled route through towns and villages in Mallorca, with several stops and visits where you can learn about different cultural, gastronomic and landscape values.

You will be driving around different towns and villages near the centre of Mallorca, stopping at Algaida, Pina, Lloret de Vista Alegre, Montuiri, Randa and Cura.

The tour has two departure times and you will need to provide your own vehicle and petrol.

Miramar and Soller Valley Guided Tour, Valldemossa

Covering a route of around 70km, on this 5 hour tour (plus 30 minute briefing) you can explore Mallorca on a scheduled route with several stops and visits where you can learn about different cultural, gastronomic and landscape values.

You will be driving around the Serra de Tramuntana, a declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, stopping off at Valldemossa Hermitage: a short 10 minute walk to reach a magical location where you can breathe real peace, whilst your guide explains the short yet fascinating story about the place. Next you will head to Miramar Monastery, founded by the great thinker and inventor Ramon Llull, which later became the summer mansion of Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria. You will discover its byzantine gardens and interiors and finish with a taste of salt cookies Quelitas with cheese. Finally you will head to the Soller olive mill to discover and learn about the process of producing olive oil and the local orange crop with the owner of this small family company.

The trip finishes with lunch in Soller town.

The tour has two departure times, lunch is included, and you will need to provide your own vehicle and petrol.
