A mini heat wave is expected to sweep over Mallorca as August begins. Temperatures are expected to rise above normal over the next two days welcoming in August with a spike on the temperature charts. This year July was drier than usual with standard temperatures across Majorca. The highest temperature officially recorded on the island was on the 19th when the mercury peaked at 36.4 degrees.

August is forecast to begin with another rise in temperatures. Today the temperature in Palma is 32 degrees and in land temperatures will rise to 34 degrees. The sea around Mallorca at the moment provides some refreshment with the water currently sitting at 26 degrees, cooling but certainly not cold.

Little rainfall is expected for August and after our short two day heatwave that will start the month temperatures are expected to be normal for this time of year.
