Judge in the Urdangarin corruption postpones Princess Cristina hearing

The King of Spain's youngest daughter, Princess Cristina, has been summoned to the Palma court by Judge Jose Castro for questioning in the Urdangarin corruption case.

Lawyer Junyent Miquel Roca has been hired by the King in order to represent the Princess during questioning. Princess Cristina has been summoned for questioning on he husband's possible involvement of funnelling 5 million euros in public funds via the non-profit Nóos Institute that he ran in a private businesses they controlled.

Earlier in the court case it was concluded that Princess Cristina was not involved with the millions of euros that were embezzled through the Nóos Institute, however, new evidence has been uncovered where emails were exchanged between Inaki Urdangarin and Cristina over the Institute's affairs.

The Princess is not thought to be a suspect in the embezzlement case but will be questioned on the 27th April. Questioning should find out any information she knows about her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, and business partner Diego Torres involvement in embezzling millions of money through the Noós Institute in which they received Government money to hold sporting events.

UPDATE
The judge has suspended the Princess Cristina's questioning as the anti-corruption prosecutor has filed a complaint. The court now has to decide if she really needs to go in for questioning, the judge has set five days to consider the complaint given by the anti-corruption prosecutor.
