Catamarans are the Formula 1 of sailing. Built for speed you'll get a real thrill from racing the waves.
There are 2 courses to choose from, one for beginners and the other for those that are looking to improve and refresh their skills.
Beginner Course - Duration - 3 hours per day over 5 days covering the following:
Getting in on speedy and sportsmanlike sailing. Perfect gybing and tacking, harness training and capsizing in a TopCat. The basic principles of sailing are a prerequisite. At the end of the course you can obtain a Basic Catamaran Licence.
Intermediate Course - Duration - 3 hours per day over 3 days covering the following
The goal of this course is to refresh and to improve your skills on catamaran using advanced techniques like getting on wire, sailing down wind or sailing with reacher.
If you are already a confident sailor then you can also choose to hire a catamaran.
Basic Sailing Course Duration - 3 hours per day over 5 days covering the following:
First steps to handling a boat single-handed. It is possible to achieve a Basic Sailing Certificate by VDWS (German Association of Watersport Schools) at the end of the course.
Special Sailing Course Duration - 3 hours per day over 5 days for those that have already attended a basic course:
This course consolidates and broadens what you have already learned on a basic course. A skills build-up, perfecting skills in sailing on all available boats and catamarans.
Sailing Mini Course Duration - 3 hours per day over 3 days
A quick way to be able to sail independently for those who just go for it without giving it too much thought. The course is also ideal for people on a short holiday that don't have too much time.
At the end of every course successful trainees are issued an internationally acknowledged windsurfing certificate (VDWS). This certificate entitles holders to hire windsurfing crafts at all water stations, and certifies their skills.

Basic Windsurfing Course Duration - 2.5 hours per day over 5 days
A beginners’ course in basic windsurfing techniques, permitting participants to windsurf on their own under different wind force and wind direction.
Intermediate Windsurfing Course Duration - 2.5 hours per day over 5 days for those that have already attended a basic course:
The purpose of this course is to consolidate and to broaden knowledge achieved on the basic course and to learn modern force-saving techniques (gybe, tack, beach start, water start, harness using etc.).
Windsurfing Mini Course Duration - 2.5 hours per day over 3 days
A quick way to be able to windsurf independently for those who just go for it without giving it too much thought. The course is also ideal for people on a short holiday that don't have too much time.
If you are already confident at windsurfing then you can also hire the equipment.
They also offer a windsurfing course for children, starting from around 7 years of age, so they can learn too.
Mallorca is the perfect holiday destination for watersports thanks to its warm summers, island breezes and scenic coastline.
There are plenty of watersports centres offering equipment hire and lessons in activities like sailing, scuba diving, wakeboarding and kite surfing all around the island. Alternatively, thrill seekers can enjoy rides in speedboats, jet skis or banana boats.

Diving
Try Scuba diving courses all around the coast of Mallorca; there should be one close to you wherever you are staying
Major family resorts like Port d'Alcúdia and Magaluf have plenty of watersports to keep the kids entertained. Banana boats, ringos, parasailing and flying mattresses are among a range of inflatable fun to be had on the sea. Pedalos, paddleboards and kayaks are available for hire at most of the bigger resorts, usually from the beaches. This includes popular spots like Puerto Portals, Port de Pollença, Cala Millor, Cala d'Or and Porto Cristo.
Watersports on day trips
It's often possible to borrow watersports gear from some of the boat trip or yacht charter companies on the island. The equipment may be included in part of your package but do remember to ask before taking your trip, so as not to miss out!
Beach watersports
From jetskiing and flyboarding to pedal boats, banana boats and doughnuts, there are more than enough watersports to keep you and the family entertained in the summer months (April-October). It's usually the more commercial beaches and marinas that offer watersports. In the west of the island, try Magaluf, Santa Ponça and Palma Nova. In the north, there are plenty of activities to get involved in around Alcúdia and ort de Pollença’s beaches. You might struggle to find such activities on the beaches of the island's east coast as they are smaller, more tranquil destinations. You will also find volleyball nets on some of the larger beaches on the island, which are available for the general public to use. This is a great spontaneous activity for families looking to stretch their legs whilst taking a break from the sun loungers.
