Pacha Mallorca plans on a return to premises in Palma

Nightclub wants to move from Palmanova back to its old home on the Passeig Maritimo

After two years of being based in Son Caliu (close to Palmanova), the Ibizan nightclub brand Pacha is looking to move back to its old home in Palma, to its original location where the club Abraxas is currently based.

The iconic cherry nightclub brand closed its franchise in Son Caliu last year after problems were encountered with the local management. Pacha are now in talks with the Cursach Group which owns Abraxas as well as other popular Mallorcan clubs such as Tito's, Riu Palace, Mega Park and Lo Music Club. If an agreement is reached, Abraxas will become Pacha Mallorca which could open in May.

Pacha first opened in Mallorca back in 1996 along the Paseo Maritimo. It closed in 2006 over a dispute in the branding and franchise agreement. Pacha had been expressing an interest in returning to Palma in order to achieve high occupancy throughout the year, rather than just the summer months.

Paseo Maritimo is one of the busiest and most popular night life areas in Palma, with most of the promenade being taken up with bars, nightclubs and hotels.
