1. Doble 8 Indoor Climbing Centre

Located on the outskirts of Palma, this is the highest indoor climbing centre in Mallorca, also offering indoor and outdoor courses.

On their 8m high climbing wall, they have over 30 climbing routes with more than 3200 holds. There are also areas for warming up and working out, events, a specialised store, a 4m high bouldering area and an acrobatics area with trapeze.

They offer indoor and outdoor lessons (rock climbing and water soloing), from beginners to instructors and children, as well as rappel, canyoning, slacklining, vertical dance and circus acrobatics lessons.

Open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 22:00; Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16:00 to 22:00; Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00. Closed on Sunday.

2. Palma Sport & Tennis Club

Founded in 1964, Mallorca Tennis was built by the Barcelona architect Francesc Mitjans, designer of the famous Camp Nou football stadium in Barcelona and other significant buildings in Spain.

Today, totally refurbished, the club offers its local and international members a high quality range of services, varying from private tennis lessons and body pump to hot yoga, cross training and much more.

Palma Sport & Tennis Club has five clay courts, including one centre court, all of which are flood light for evening games. The centre court can seat around 1200 people which makes it the ideal place for international tournaments and local competitions.

With a beautifully landscaped outdoor swimming pool you can enjoy the sporting activities offered both indoor and outdoor. The gym is fully stocked with the latest gear and training equipment. The spa are also offers massage therapies and beauty treatments for that 'all-round' pampering experience.

3. Nou Olimpic Gym

Located in the north of Palma (Estacions) Gimnàs Olimpic is a large and friendly (English speaking) gym with a wide and varied choice of fitness options.

From 7am until 1130pm (Monday to Friday, reduced hours Saturday, closed Sunday), the fitness room incorporates classic elements of fitness (such as rope or ladder, currently used by firefighters and police officers) to the latest trends in cardiovascular exercise. Spinning, fitness & dance classes, pilates, judo, and a climbing wall are all available.

4. Mega Sport Centre

Mega Sport Centre is much more than a sports complex. Located to the north west of Palma, next to the Municipal Stadium and the Son Moix Polideportivo, this centre covers more than 12,000 square meters.

The facility was created in November 2000 and employs more than 100 specially trained professionals. The centre has more than 325 weekly group classes, 10 halls, an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and excellent fitness room. Racquet sports are also catered for, with 13 paddle (9 doubles and 4 singles) and three squash courts. Open all day every day - including Sundays and holidays.
